LDG as a Chamber of Commerce
With no formal chamber of commerce within the county, LDG serves as the unofficial chamber. To fill the needs that a typical chamber would satisfy, LDG offers its membership education workshops, administers a shop local campaign and holds events to provide networking opportunities.
Currently, the biggest and most successful chamber-related activity is the Shop Louisa campaign. Learn more about the Shop Louisa campaign and the Shop Louisa Bucks program.
In its commitment to entrepreneurship and businesses, LDG is also offering and bringing a series of practical presentations to Louisa County. The following is a schedule:
Wednesday, January 16, 7pm -- "How to Start a Business" Janine Clover of SBDC, Oakville Community Center
Wednesday, March 12, 7pm -- "Customer Service" Lori Denney, Letts City Hall/Community Center
Wednesday, May 14, 7pm -- "Differentiate Your Business" Chris Grimm of Iowa State Bank, Morning Sun City Hall Fireplace Room

Wednesday, September 10, 7pm -- "Marketing Your Small Business" Mallory Smith, Langwod Education Center, Grandview/Wapello
